Torrent/P2P and phishing/malware sites now being blocked at DNS level

In order to improve the overall server performance and prevent illegal filesharing (is there another kind?) and to protect users from phishing and dangerous sites we are now using the OPENDNS system to block access to P2P related sites and reported phishing sites at DNS level.

Banana VPN has always had an anti-P2P policy and we always actively block ports and protocols and disable user accounts (after several warnings). Now, using the OPENDNS system we can block thousands of p2p and dangerous sites and hopefully deter users from filesharing and improve server performance for everyone else.

If you signed up wanting to use P2P and now find yourself unable to do so, please contact support and we will promptly issue a full refund.
